I attended the NASCAR races this past weekend at Bristol, TN and they played a video that really hit me hard. The video was reminding everyone that we still have men and women fighting for our freedom overseas and sometimes we don't thank them enough or even at all. I heard WKKG's
message about the wall on the radio this morning on my way to work and decided to tell our troops "Thank You". My family and I appreciate the sacrifices that you are making in order for us to live in a safe place. We pray each day that you come home soon and safe to your families. Somehow, thank you doesn't seem like much, but hopefully it will help a little to know that we are thinking of you and support you too. Stay safe, stay strong, come home soon. Remember, even though you are away from home, you are always in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless the USA!!!!
nancy thompson   (Saturday, March 15, 2008 9:22 PM)

"Freedom doesn't come free." is such an incredible quote. We have men and women in Iraq and all over our nation protecting us. It is so important that we take the time and and thank not only the people fighting, the people who fought but the ones who gave their life so we could do simpl things like drive our car and know that we are free. Thank you to all the one who are fighting and who have fought. Your setting a perfect example for everyone. Thank you!!

To all who are serving our country, at home and overseas, I stand at your side. As a four year veteran of the Navy, and having served during 9-11 and the beginning of the war, I understand, perhaps not completely, what you are going through. I commend you, and you all make me proud. Proud of what you are doing and proud to be a veteran. Keep up the great work! And for those overseas I hope you come home soon.

This is the neatest thing I've ever seen or felt! I am retired Army (1972-1992) and at no time in my career did I ever sense such a deep appreciation from the community or nation as I see today. I do wish there was more recognition for the veterans (retired military). God Bless YOU and Thank You because it's for you we served and gave.

It seems like so little to say thank you, but it is the best way to tell you what we think! Having 9 brothers I have had my share of uncles, brothers, nephews and nieces in the service, from WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and now Iraq. My heart not only goes out to the solders, but also to the families behind. You're all in our daily prayers and also for our leaders to get this thing solved. I know you hear alot of negatives, but just remember, the majority of us appreciate what you are doing and can never repay you all for your sacrifices. Keep up the great work you are doing to keep our country free and safe!
