Delta Faucet Cutting 40 Jobs

The Delta Faucet plant in Greensburg is losing twenty percent of it's workforce due to a consolidation of work being moved to the Delta plant in Jackson, Tennessee. The Greensburg Delta workforce will drop by forty employees to 160. The workforce in Tennessee will increase by twenty employees to approximately 710. Delta spokeswoman Paula Warner says the move is due to "the continuing downturn in the U.S. housing market, declining retail activity and the economic conditions of the last several months".

The transition of machining operations from Greensburg to Tennessee is expected to take approximately three months. Once the transition is completed, the Jackson, Tennessee plant will primarily perform machining operations. The Greensburg plant will remain open as a finishing-focused facility.
