Census Distributed to Hoosiers This Week

Indiana residents will start receiving 2010 census forms this week. This year’s census will be a 10 question form that Hoosiers can complete and return in a prepaid envelope. Sue Gettz, manager of a local census office says the census is one of the shortest in U.S. history and shouldn‘t take too long to complete.

If you don‘t send the form back by April 1st, national census day, a census taker will come to your home and ask you the questions in person. The census is mandated to be done every decade. Data collected will be used to distribute more than 400 billion dollars in federal funds.
