A typical summer lunch turned tragic for a Bargersville family Tuesday. A three-year-old girl choked on a hot dog and died while in the care of a babysitter. The girl was pronounced dead at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Richard Surface, the husband of the child's babysitter, said his wife did all she could to rescue the child. He said the girl still had a bite of hot dog in her mouth when she put in another bite, causing her to choke.
