70 Dogs Rescued In Greene County

Seventy dogs have been rescued from a Greene County home in which a couple had been keeping them in hopes of starting their own animal shelter. However, the Monroe County Humane Association said the couple showed signs of being animal hoarders instead.

They were allowed to keep a few of their animals, but most were taken and are being kept at a temporary shelter in Bloomington. As part of the agreement, the Humane Association is not identifying the couple.
