The bicycle repair station located at Donner Center was vandalized Tuesday night. Those responsible cut the cables holding tools and stole them. The perpetrators also damaged the tire pump. Park officials are working to determine if the pump can be fixed, or will have to be replaced.

Katia Hatter with Columbus Parks and Recreation says The bicycle repair stations were initially placed throughout the city by the organization Reach: Healthy Communities to encourage bicycling and other exercising for Columbus residents.
Hatter adds that the department does not have a budget for vandalism. She says the money to repair acts of vandalism comes from the maintenance budget. Hatter says that forces necessary work in other areas to be postponed.
