Seymour Board of Works Open Bids on Emergency Project

The Seymour Board of Works and Safety opened bids for an emergency project for the Mutton Creek Bypass/Lift Station improvement project.

Four bids were opened. They included King Trucking and Excavating, which bid $76,520, Lawyer Excavating bid $39,488, Infrastructure of Orleans bid $106,487 and Mitchell and Stark Construction of Medora bid $46,500.

The city says the work needs to be done fast because the check valves and pumps are 40 years old and could fail at any time. The board accepted all the bids and will look over each one before approving the best one for the job as soon as possible.
