Columbus Police recently arrested a Brown County man on drug and gun charges following a road rage incident involving the man allegedly showing a handgun in the area of I-65 and State Road 46.

Columbus Public Safety spokesman Lt. Matt Myers says 36-year-old Darrick J. Day, of Nashville, was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Myers says Day was driving a vehicle that witnesses said was involved in the incident. One person told police that an older male, later identified as Day, had pointed a handgun at him while driving on I-65.

Police found Day's vehicle going west on State Road 46 and made a traffic stop to investigate. Upon investigation, Myers says a probable cause arrest was made on Day for his involvement. He was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail on his charges.

No one was injured during the incident.
