Police in Seymour continue to investigate a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon on the city's southeast side.

Police Chief Bill Abbott told the "Seymour Tribune" Monday that detectives were in the process of conducting follow-up interviews with potential witnesses to the shooting that took place around 1:30 p.m. in an alley between Vine and Broadway streets.

Abbott said police have been able to recover evidence that a weapon had been fired during the incident, which involved three or four people.
