Nursing Home Employee Arrested for Theft and Forgery

A Rushville woman has been charged for allegedly taking several thousand dollars from a bank account belonging to an elderly woman living at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.

Sgt. Noel Houze, with Indiana State Police in Versailles, says a recent investigation found that 52-year-old Janey Meltzer, who works at the nursing home, was arrested Sept. 30 without incident and charged with forgery and theft.

Houze says if you live at the nursing home and believe you may be the victim of theft and forgery or if you have a family member living there and suspect your loved one may be the victim of theft or forgery, call State Police in Versailles at 812-689-5000.
