UPDATE: Police Say North Vernon Man Wanted to Kill Wife

A North Vernon man was arrested and charged Friday night with conspiracy to commit murder.

North Vernon Police allege that 45-year-old Daniel Rogers was conspiring to kill his wife. Rogers was arrested following information police received earlier that day.

During the course of the investigation, officers were able to get a search warrant for a home in the 100 block of West Walnut Street. There, police say they were able to recover computer equipment along with miscellaneous paperwork related to the investigation.

Rogers is being held in the Jennings County Jail on $300,000 bond.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Individual interviews are expected to continue through at least Tuesday.
