Police Investigate Reports of Shots Fired

Columbus Police were called out to the 2700 block of Rosewood Lane shortly after 4 Tuesday morning on a report of possible gunshots being fired.

Police spokesman Lt. Matt Myers says the emergency dispatch center received multiple calls from residents in the area stating they heard multiple gunshots coming from somewhere in the area.

Officers went to the area and were not able to find a source or evidence of shots being fired. Officers spoke with several residents as well that said they heard gunshots.

Police are asking residents in the area to keep a look out for suspicious activity and call the police department at 376-2600 if needed.

If anyone has information regarding the possible gunshots, please call the police department.
