North Vernon Teens Face Meth Charges

Two Jennings County residents were arrested over the weekend on meth charges, thanks to a concerned citizen.

North Vernon Police Detective Jeff Day says he was approached by a resident at 4 p.m. Saturday who informed him of a strong chemical smell coming from an open window of an apartment in the 400 block of Greensburg Street.

Detective Day and Officer Matt Staples approached the window and spoke with two men inside. The officers say they were able to see paraphernalia from the window.

Police arrested 18-year-old Brandon Horton and 18-year-old Brayton Eder, both of North Vernon, on a number of charges. Among them, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. Other charges are possible.
