Three arrested on fraud charges

Three people were arrested Saturday evening at the Wal-Mart on Whitfield Drive in Columbus.

Sgt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department Spokesman, says that officers were dispatched to the store in regards to suspected fraudulent transactions. Officers spoke with store security who advised that the same suspects were inside the store approximately two weeks ago and were believed to be part of a group going across the Indiana committing fraud.

Officers made contact with the first two suspects, identified as 43-year-old Mikiael SP Mosiman, from Indianapolis, and 31-year-old Jordan W. Fry, of Cicero. Harris says a third suspect, 37-year-old Michael T. Reichel, also from Cicero, attempted to flee from officers, but he was taken into custody a short time later.

All three suspects were interviewed and booked in the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary felony charges of counterfeiting/forgery and a misdemeanor count of theft. Harris says that Reichel was also charged with a misdemeanor count of resisting law enforcement. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Marion County.

Harris adds that all three suspects were placed on a 48 hour hold as officers continue their investigation.
