Highway reflective marker replacement planned

The Indiana Department of Transportation will be installing new reflective pavement markers on Interstate 65 starting Sunday night from the Marion/Johnson County line all the way to the Kennedy Bridge in Clark County.

Harry Maginity, spokesman for INDOT, says The work will be done between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. at night and will last through late September. Motorists should be alert for lighted message boards that direct traffic around the moving worksites.

The work is going to include Interstates 65, 64 and 74. The $200,672 project will install 38,633 new prismatic reflectors.
